Enforcement

The Enforcement Division is tasked with enforcing the Illinois Liquor Control Act. The Enforcement Division inspects all licensed liquor establishments doing business across the State.  The Enforcement Division also investigates complaints received from a variety of sources regarding alleged violations of the Illinois Liquor Control Act. The Enforcement Division performs periodic compliance checks working closely with our Federal, State, and local law enforcement partners. The Enforcement Division is also responsible for conducting Underage Compliance checks throughout the State, testing retail establishments who sell liquor on their duty to perform proper ID checks.

Underage Compliance Assistant (UCA) Program

The Enforcement Division Underage Compliance Assistant (UCA) program is open to individuals that are 18 or 19 years of age.

Individuals 18 or 19 years old who are interested in becoming an Underage Compliance Assistant should email ILCC.enforcement@illinois.gov with their name, age, and the city/town and county in which they live. 

Note: ILCC Special Agents, Investigators, and Supervisors will provide official ILCC identification upon arrival at the premises to be inspected. Please report any individuals you believe may be attempting to misrepresent themselves as ILCC employees.
