Alert: ILCC licensees will not have access to renew liquor licenses via MyTax after February 11, 2026.

 

With the exception of tax reporting, Licensees will lose access to the Liquor Licensing application capabilities in MyTaxIllinois at 5pm CST on February 11, 2026.

 

ILCC licensees will no longer be able to submit applications, renewals, make payments, or upload compliance documentation through MyTaxIllinois after the transition date. Don’t incur possible delays, submit your renewal now.

Legal

The Legal Division is responsible for counseling the Commissioners and the Executive Director on interpretations of the Liquor Control Act and its Rules and Regulations. The Division also serves in a prosecutorial role reviewing and at times approving violations issued to licensees as a result of inspections conducted by the Enforcement Division. In its prosecutorial role, the Division may issue Offers in Compromise, conduct settlement conferences through the Pre-Disciplinary Conference process, or represent the ILCC before the Commission during an Administrative Hearing. Additionally, the Legal Division provides the public with assistance in interpreting and explaining Liquor Control Act and Administrative Rules.
