ILCC Portal FAQs

The ILCC is transitioning from MyTaxIllinois to the New Illinois Liquor Control and Compliance Portal (ILCCPortal)!!

Why is the ILCC moving from the MyTaxIllinois portal to the new Illinois Liquor Control & Compliance Portal?

The ILCC is upgrading to a modern portal platform to improve ease of use, enhance communication, streamline licensing and compliance processes, and provide a more reliable and secure experience for all users.

Users have frequently reported that the current MyTaxIllinois portal is difficult to navigate, leading to frustrating technical issues like laggy responses and lost drafts. The new ILCC Portal addresses these issues, while providing you with real time data, such as immediate email notifications regarding your license status. The new ILCC Portal enables for not only renewals to be submitted electronically, but ALL new applications and other application types. Users can expect modern features like pre-filled fields, improved navigation, real time updates and enhanced online support.

When will the new ILCC Portal be available?

The new portal is scheduled to go live in mid-February 2026. Once it goes live, all licensing and compliance activities will take place exclusively in the new ILCC Portal. The exact launch date will be confirmed closer to the expected launch. Please note, there will be a blackout period of one week beginning February 11, 2026.

What will happen to the MyTaxIllinois portal?

The MyTaxIllinois portal will be retired for ILCC purposes as of February 11, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. After that time, users will no longer be able to submit applications, renewals, payments, or compliance documentation through MyTaxIllinois. Additionally, any pending or unapproved applications will have to be resubmitted through the new portal, once it goes live the following week.

Any tax reporting requirements will remain in MyTaxIllinois with the Illinois Department of Revenue.  Additionally, users will need to continue to utilize MyTaxIllinois to file and make tax payments. If you have any tax related questions please contact the Illinois Department of Revenue online or at 1-800-732-8866 or 217-782-3336.

What do I need to do NOW to prepare?

- Log Into the MyTaxIllinois Portal and Renew Now. We strongly urge licensees with February and March renewals to renew as early as possible via your MyTaxIllinois account —and no later than February 11th—to avoid delays during the transition, February renewals were made available on 01/02/2026 and March renewals will be available on 02/02/2026.

- Capture your Letter ID, your Letter ID is located on the top corner of your license certificate above the QR code on your license certificate and it is also located above your license number information - you will need to enter the complete letter ID ex: L0000000000- please enter the letter L first followed by the 10 digit number when claiming your account in the new portal.

Review any open licensing or compliance tasks and be ready to complete them in the new system after go-live.

Plan to Renew any licenses expiring in February, March or April 2026 – early.

Set up your ILogin Account (if you don’t already have one).

Can I have multiple ILogin accounts?

While we prefer you use your personal email address to access ILogin, if you are acting on behalf of a Corporation, LLC, or other business, and prefer to use a business email, you may do so. It is best practice to use your personal email account for any personal matters and statewide services available within the ILogin portal. So, some users may wish to set up separate ILogin accounts for personal vs. professional use cases, using corresponding email accounts.

If you are an Attorney, CPA or other 3rd party (not a licensee) working on behalf of a licensee, you will have access (once granted by master users) to ALL of your relevant accounts within the ILCC Portal - regardless of the ILogin email account you use to access the ILCC Portal tile app. Access to such delegated users will not be immediate, but granted after the master user (licensee) creates or updates users associated with their business account. Only master users will be allowed to update existing users’ access levels.

I have ILogin set up, but how do I access my customers’ accounts?

Only master users (owners of a business account) can create or update delegated users associated with their business accounts. Once a business owner has claimed authority to access their business account within the new portal, they can manage users, add new users or update existing users access levels. If you need access to multiple business accounts, each business owner needs to add you to their business account separately. Work with your customers to have them add you to their accounts as a delegated user.

I am having issues with ILogin, where should I go for help?

If you still experience problems after reviewing the How To Guides on the ILogin Help site, please visit the ILogin Help Report a Problem page for assistance. You can also contact the DoIT Helpdesk by calling 217-524-3648 or 312-814-3648.

What if I am a 3rd party, such as an attorney, company, accountant, fraternity, club, pub, or restaurant trying to register on ILogin?

Each individual user should set up and use their own unique username and password to access ILogin and/or the ILCC Portal.

While we prefer users to use their personal email address to access ILogin, if users are acting on behalf of a Corporation, LLC, or other business, and prefer to use a business email, they may do so. It is best practice to use personal email accounts for any personal matters and statewide services available within the ILogin portal. However, some users may wish to set up separate ILogin accounts for personal vs. professional use cases, using corresponding email accounts.

If you are a 3rd party (not a licensee) working on behalf of a licensee, you will have access (once granted by master users) to ALL of your relevant accounts within the ILCC Portal - regardless of the ILogin email account you use to access the ILCC Portal tile app. Access to such delegated users will not be immediate, but granted after the master user (licensee) creates or updates users associated with their business account. Only master users will be allowed to update existing users’ access levels.

Every user, including any delegated 3rd party users, will have a personal credential or their own unique username and password to use for logging in.
